MY BROTHER AND his son are coming to Quincy this weekend. Unfortunately, we are in the midst of a heatwave. I call it "90/90." You know - 90 plus degrees, and high humidity.
Steve and his son live in Phoenix. They are avid golfers. They play all year and don't flinch when it's 115 degrees. "It's cheaper when it's hot," Steve says.
True. But you aren't wading through high humidity. It just sucks the life out of you. It's hard to explain - Steve has lived in Phoenix for most of his adult life.
We'll figure that one out. But what else is there to do in The Q?
A trip to Luxe Stogie Company is obviously on the list. Saturday night we might venture out to the Quincy Doggy Paddlers game - I hear they've done a great job since taking over for the Quincy Gems.
Otherwise it might be a lot of chilling out.
Steve and Riley will head out early Monday morning for Chicago - they have tickets to see Rush at the United Center. Now THAT will be an adventure. They better get rested up!
Hmmm. Maybe we don't need to do a whole lot this weekend.
